I think of fear a lot in terms of decision making. Like you say, fear can preserve us, it has its place. I allow it a seat at my table. But what I don’t want it to do is drive who I am or how I live into this world. So, when I’m considering a decision, I ask myself: am I afraid? If so, is it based in lack of knowledge? or some other fear: of disapproval, of failure, of change? I address what I can, but if I’m just afraid, maybe that’s an indicator I should take the risk and see where it leads me?
