This is lovely--thank you. We experienced the same storm a little north of Seattle. My youngest daughter was scared, and said, "It sounds like the ocean was dammed up and then someone blew up the dam and the ocean came crashing out again!" 💛
Love this devotional today. It is so compelling to look at the technological achievements we humans have attained, but equally as enlightening to compare those achievements with just the breadth and power of nature and creation. A few years ago my wife and I had the privilege of watching a lightning storm from the 17th floor of a Las Vegas hotel. We were in awe at the immense beauty of it all and marveling at how we could enjoy this from the comfort of a hotel room. Watching the incomparable power of nature up close and personal really fills one with that sense of awe and humility.
We just sat out undercover on the deck, taking videos for our kids and hollering "wow, that was a loud one!" every 30 seconds.
As usual, you captured the perspective just right. Loved this.
