And don't forget - where other creation stories involve battles, dismemberments, and ghastly atrocities, our God planted a garden, and placed Adam and Eve in it to tend it.
I just walked around the garden spot I haven't used for a few years with the person who planted a few tomatoes broccoli and peppers last year that did fairly well. She wanted me to give my approval to her plans for this year and just getting out there felt good.
I don't want to start something that I can't keep up and my health still has a ways to go, before I commit.
But it was interesting that your essay arrived just now and that Maybe just the inspiration transfusion that I needed.
I didn't make it to writer's hour again this week, has my energy has been at a low ebb at that time of day, but I did click on the notes thread and garnered a little inspiration there to delve a little deeper into that.
My daughter is going through a tough time right now, so I need to give her the positive attention that she needs after a lifetime of emotionally and physically abusive relationships.
After I posted I reviewed it and see that I should have included my disclaimer regarding the poor proofreading that I is now the norm due to my vision problems.
Truly beautiful reflection on your garden and on God's word. Patience is such a wonderful gift. Thank you so much for your insights. I love your writing very much.
My garden does it's own thing also. Be it the bugs, when things get planted, what weather is whipped up, the gardeners motivation 🙄; it's all in the blender! (God does the other big stuff!) Something will be showing up!
"Every seed I put in the soil has intention behind it. Every sprout is a celebration"
And now you know--in some distant, mysterious way--how God feels about people. Beautiful reflection.

Good luck with the weather this year!
