Lovely reflection again, SE. And thanks so much for the promo. My fiction isnโt as reverent as your meditations but I feel weโre speaking from a similar spiritual space. Oh, and the grey squirrels say hi.
โIt can be easy to grieve a season that arrives late. But a season truly isnโt over until itโs over. Sometimes itโs merely delayed. Sometimes abundance is coming, we just need a bit more patience, a bit more trust.โ
This set my mind on the book of Ezra--the Israelites weโre trying to rebuild the temple, but they were delayed at every turn. But ultimately, their work could not be defeated, only delayed.
It can be difficult to continue moving faithfully through a season we are, frankly, sick of inhabiting. But sometimes there is such blessing in the delay--provision we need but canโt see until we are on the other side.
As we rush through our lives, itโs so good to take stock sometimes and enjoy the Season weโre in. Autumn has always been my favorite to do just that. As you wrote, some of Summer still lingers and sometimes a hint of Winter is in the air. But best of all the fragrant days reach out to us to savor each moment to reflect, plan and move forward with purpose, hope and love.
