What a lovely tradition (I too am a lover of lists). Though I am not a Christian I love the symbolism and soulfulness of this much deeper interpretation of the 12 Days of Christmas. It makes me reflect on what this season means to me in addition to the secular festivities. Thank you for sharing and deepening my appreciation for these important traditions. PS not sure if you're familiar with Elizabeth Goudge's work, she's my favorite author. She has a story called The Little White Horse, written in 1946. Here's a bit about it.
