Welcome to The Wildroot Parables weekly discussions! This is where we can come together as a community and have real talk with one another: open, honest, gracious, and curious.
This is YOUR space to discuss with each other, not just engage with me! Because of this, SAFE SHARING is my highest priority. If you are not engaging safely and with grace with others, you will have to leave. Period.
Thank you for entering this space with care!
On Monday, we talked about how traditionally Holy Monday was the day when the Church would commemorate the cleansing of the temple and Jesus’ clear stance on the mixture of greed and holiness. Today, Holy Wednesday, is when the Church would observe the part of the Easter story when Judas made his bargain to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver, another comment on greed outweighing love.
As spring brings warmth and clarity, let’s discuss: what things have you allowed to hang on to you—like the greedy tables at the temple—that need to be cleansed away, driven out, in order for you to love and seek grace (with others, with self, from God) more clearly?
Beautiful Inquiry and quite timely in my sphere of experience. I felt an urge this morning to purify threads of energy that are dangling from past connections. To step into deeper responsibility with my devotion to integrity. The clarity is leading me to communication as my tendency in the past has been suppression - avoiding upsets and conflicts by remaining quiet. Rather than speaking into the beauty of truth that lead up to the dissolving connection that has been gifted through divine revelation. Revelation about what is truly aligned, what is truly mine.
Love this question and will continue to meditate on it. Something that keeps coming up for me the last several months is that I need to let go of people pleasing. It’s been a hard lesson to really embrace that just because other humans are disappointed in me doesn’t mean God is. In fact He would prefer I not worry about pleasing others and simply be who He created me to be.
