Welcome to The Wildroot Parables weekly discussions! This is where we can come together as a community and have real talk with one another: open, honest, gracious, and curious.
This is YOUR space to discuss with each other, not just engage with me! Because of this, SAFE SHARING is my highest priority. If you are not engaging safely and with grace with others, you will have to leave. Period.
On Monday, I confessed that a phoneless afternoon revealed a loss in my ability to focus on the present moment. But what can be lost can also be found!
Our question today is: what is one thing you’ve lost that you would like to regain? And what is one thing you are going to do to search for it?
I feel like I’m losing a general, open-ended, and sustained curiosity in subjects I’m unfamiliar with, which limits both experience and reading. As remedy: I want to actually lessen the volume of my reading intake, to deepen what I do read. Counterproductive or counterintuitive is to be determined. I just hope to refine my focus, which is ultimately the origin of enjoyment and wonder.
