Welcome to The Wildroot Parables weekly discussions! This is where we can come together as a community and have real talk with one another: open, honest, gracious, and curious.
This is YOUR space to discuss with each other, not just engage with me! Because of this, SAFE SHARING is my highest priority. If you are not engaging safely and with grace with others, you will have to leave. Period.
Thank you for entering this space with care!
On Monday, our devotional was all about joy. But not just any joy…God’s joy, in us and through us. Sometimes it feels like we don’t talk about God being joyful. It can be difficult to imagine, when our ideas and concepts of Him are so serious!
Today, our question to ponder is: are you able to see God, the Creator, as joyful? What makes that image either easy for you to imagine, or difficult? What does God’s joy look like, feel like, or sound like to you?
I think of how Jesus’ first miracle involved joy! The joy of a wedding, the joy of the warmth of wine (the best wine!). He delights in us and us in Him! Joy to the world, the savior, the source of all joy, is born. 🙌
