Welcome to The Wildroot Parables weekly discussions! This is where we can come together as a community and have real talk with one another: open, honest, gracious, and curious.
This is YOUR space to discuss with each other, not just engage with me! Because of this, SAFE SHARING is my highest priority. If you are not engaging safely and with grace with others, you will have to leave. Period.
Thank you for entering this space with care!
On Monday, our devotional “The Funerary Jay” included a bit of sorrow about the death of beautiful things, but also the hope of an Undying Future. When I give water to the wildlife during the hot months, it makes me feel just a bit closer to a world where everything works as it is supposed to.
Our question this week is: what experiences and encounters have you had with the natural world that give you some kind of foretaste of a Good Future where all is well? (Depending on your beliefs this could be Heaven, a New Earth, or even just a personal future in which YOU pursue harmony with Creation.)
Watching all the different kinds of birds eat & drink together peacefully in our yard. Even the “bully birds” and birds that aren’t supposed to get along happily thrive together and it’s such a beautiful sight!

Oh my goodness! My bees are absolutely FLOURISHING! All kinds....bumbles, apis, a few yellow jackets, but the jackets are less aggressive than they used to be, interestingly enough. I have also seen new species of flying beings I've never seen before that have an otherwordly exquisite feel. The sky looks different to me, and I commented to a government employee who came to check out the trees and electrical lines, after we'd struck up a lively conversation that included everything from weather modification and EMFs to botany and entymology and the compounding issues for the bees, from mites to pesticides to electric lines/EMFs to how this game we are in is about shining our light in these times...and when I told her my observations about the sky she said, "Yeah, like in a good way, right?" I said, "YES!" And she nodded. She saw it too.
