Greetings, Dear Wildroot Parables Readers!
I know I don't usually make a habit of random announcement emails, but I felt that this one deserved its own standalone message.
I’ll keep it brief!
Quick Backstory...
Back in 2020, I wrote an Advent devotional called Pilgrim God. In it, I included my original poetry and prose in an attempt to capture the unique darkness and light of one of my favorite church seasons. I made the book available in various ways over the years until, last year, I officially published it as a Kindle ebook.
One year later, I've given Pilgrim God a much-needed facelift, redesigning and updating the cover, as well as the internal formatting of the book. This should make it easier to navigate between daily entries with Kindle’s native Table of Contents feature, and also makes the text itself flow better on the virtual page.
Here’s the shiny new cover! Fancy, eh?
Cool! So, what does this mean practically?
First: if you've already purchased a copy of Pilgrim God in the past year, these changes should update automatically on your devices over the next day or so, as long as they’re synced with the Internet. My personal Kindle ereader copy has already changed over, but I've noticed that sometimes the copies on the Kindle App take a little longer. Please do let me know if you don't see any changes after a week or so! There may be a way to troubleshoot it.
Second: if you are a fan of Pilgrim God, please consider leaving the book a review on Amazon or Goodreads in the lead-up to Advent! These reviews are truly beneficial to self-published authors, and help other readers find their way to books they’ll love.
And third: I know the start of Advent is still well over a month away, but if you're looking for a devotional steeped in poetry and the beauty of the natural world, you can check out Pilgrim God here! It's designed as a perpetual devotional, so when you purchase it once you can use it every year for the whole Advent season as well as Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Thank you for your time and attention, friends!
I hope you're all having a beautiful October, and blessings to all!
The cover is beautiful.
Sally what a wonderful update...I'll look for the new and improved edition on my Kindle :-)
Also updating my twelve poem collection "Emmanuel Poems" ebook as we speak....here's to new poetry!
